Nelson Mandela Bay and its main catchment area in the Langkloof enjoyed some welcome rainfall at the weekend.
Over the past two days, a total of 18.6 mm was measured at the airport and 16.8 mm at the third avenue dip in Newton Park.
The highest rainfall figure for the region was the 28 mm recorded at St Alban's.
In the Langkloof, 6.6 mm fell at Joubertina and 9.8 mm at Kareedouw.
Local weather office spokesperson Garth Sampson says the next sign of rain will be towards the weekend.
