Substantial rainfall has been measured the past three days in the catchment areas of Nelson Mandela Bay's main supply dams.
From Sunday, up until 8 o'clock on Wednesday morning, Kareedouw has received 170 millimetres of rain, Joubertina 121.8, Patensie 111.2 and Kouga 74.
All the Metro's main supply dams are at 100% of capacity, baring the Impofu which was at just under 70% according to a reading taken on Tuesday.
The Southern Cape has received a lot of rain the past three days, with Plettenberg Bay measuring 152.2 millimetres up until 8 o'clock this morning and George 72.9 millimetres.
St Albans Prison outside Port Elizabeth has measured 53.6 millimetres and the PE Airport 29.4 mills.
Port Alfred has had 35 millimetres but East London only 7.
Inland, Grahamstown enjoyed 25.8 millimetres of rain and Somerset East 22.
The PE branch of the SA weather service says generally light rain is expected for the rest of today, with a few moderate falls in places along the coast and adjacent interior, between Plettenberg Bay and Port Alfred
It will clear gradually from the west later tomorrow and the weekend will be clear.
