A significant cooling in daytime temperatures with a good chance of showers and thundershowers is expected over the western half of the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
PE weather office spokesperson Garth Sampson says the rain is expected to spread eastwards from late afternoon.
Heavy showers are expected to result in localized flooding over the southwestern parts of the province into Sunday morning.
Sampson says there is a fair chance of showers and thundershowers over the bulk of the province, including Nelson Mandela Bay's main catchment area in the Langkloof.
And, according to the latest figures released by the municipality, there was another slight increase in the dam levels according to Thursday's reading.
Nelson Mandela Bay's four main supply dams are currently at 18.84% of total combined capacity.
