George Municipality says strong and hot northerly winds conducive to runaway veld fires are expected to continue on the Garden Route until Monday evening.
The Municipality has appealed to the public not to make open fires and to discard cigarette butts responsibly.
Further warnings include possible hazards associated with strong winds include falling trees, breaking branches and debris blowing around.
Motorists are also warned to be cautious of crosswinds on roads and between buildings.
Small boats are advised to stay in sheltered waters.
