Several areas across the Western Cape have reported storm damage on Wednesday following strong wind of up to 108km/hour along the Garden Route.
Several houses and structures were damaged all along the district with multiple reports of roofs blown off in Sedgefield, George and Mossel Bay and structural damages reported as far afield as Oudtshoorn and Hessequa.
A large number of trees have also blown over causing traffic problems.
Nickey le Roux, the spokesperson for Mossel Bay Municipality, says damage to properties has been widely reported from Dana Bay to Great Brak River.
She says it will take some time to estimated to damage.
