Some very welcome rain fell over the Eastern Cape over the last few days.
Although only 6.6 mm was measured at the airport, areas to the west received up to 40 mm
A spokesperson for SA Weather in Port Elizabeth Garth Sampson says since the rain started on the 10th of October the Kareedouw area received 145 mm of rain.
He says reports indicate a flow of 22.5 cubic meters per second flowing towards the Kouga dam.
The latest update on the Churchill Dam is that it has risen from 86% to 94% since Wednesday.
