Some more welcome rain fell over large parts of the Eastern Cape on Wednesday with a hail storm that hit the Graaff Reinet region in the late afternoon.
A spokesperson for the South African Weather Service Garth Sampson says the town received 14.8 mm and Cradock 20.6 mm.
He says although Fort Beaufort only measured 10 mm on Wednesday, it did receive the bulk of the good rain over the past three days with a total of 80 mm recorded.
The Weather Office says isolated thundershowers to the north and eastern regions of the province can be expected for Thursday afternoon.
