Police at Willowvale in the Eastern Cape have cracked a case of house robbery, murder, conspiracy to murder and assault.
Butterworth police spokesperson, captain Jackson Manatha says they arrested five suspects this morning who are all linked to the murder of Carmen Manthe.
Four men, aged 29 to 35, were arrested at Dutywa.
The domestic worker of the deceased was arrested at Willowvale.
Manatha says the four men are accused of accosting 37 year old Carmen Manthe and her 60 year old mother at their Willowvale home on Tuesday the 21st of May.
They robbed the victims of clothes and other valuables.
The victims were rushed to an East London hospital where Carmen died of her injuries last Monday.
Manatha says police managed to recover some of the stolen items from the suspects who will appear in court on Monday.
The 35 year old domestic worker will be charged with conspiracy to murder and assault.
