Cobus Reinach scored his second rugby World Cup hat-trick as a rampant Springbok team thumped Romania 76 – 0 for their second victory of the campaign.
He got his first against Canada in Japan in 2019.
Winger, Makazole Mapimpi also ran in three tries as the Boks scored 12 tries in a one-sided affair in Bordeaux on Sunday securing a bonus point in the process.
The Bok management surprised by naming all four scrumhalves in the starting team, with Grant Williams on the wing and Faf de Klerk coming on as a replacement flyhalf.
Damien Willemse, who started at flyhalf, kicked five conversions before De Klerk came on in the second half and kicked two conversions.
The other South African tries came from Damian Willemse, Grant Williams who scored a brace while Willie Le Roux also crossed the whitewash.
South Africa have their big test in Group B next Saturday when they come up against World Number One, Ireland at Stade de France.
