World Rugby has named New Zealand’s Ben O’Keeffe as the referee to take charge of South Africa’s World Cup quarter-final clash against France.
That match will take place at a packed Stade de France at 9 pm on Sunday night.
World Rugby announced the match officials for the quarter-finals of Rugby World Cup 2023 on Tuesday.
O’Keefe also handled the Springboks pool match against Ireland.
South African referee, Jaco Peyper, will take the whistle in the first quarter-final on Saturday between Wales and Argentina at Stade de Marseille, while compatriot Marius Joncker, is the television match official.
Wayne Barnes is the man in the middle in the other much-anticipated clash between former champions New Zealand and title-contenders, Ireland.
French referee, Mathieu Raynal, is the referee in the early clash on Sunday between England and Fiji at the Stade de Marseille.
