A limited number of South African football fans will be allowed to watch Bafana Bafana play live at the FNB stadium where they will face Ethiopia in a Fifa Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday evening.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) announced on Monday that only 2000 fully vaccinated people would be able to apply for an online ticket and according to Ticketmaster, they are sold out for the game.
The lucky 2000 fans will now have to arrive at the stadium with their ID documents, vaccine certificates and of course their ticket which would have been issued via their phone on a one-time pin.
Stadium Management at FNB stadium in Soweto also added some more rules to those attending the game and announced that no vuvuzela's, food or drinks would be allowed inside the stadium as part of their Covid protocols.
SAFA chief medical officer Dr Thulani Ngwenya said that only the 2000 selected ticket holders would be allowed to enter the FNB stadium.
