Cheetahs and Shimlas scrumhalf Kevin Luiters is the latest signing secured by the EP Kings as they continue to bolster their squad ahead of entry into the Premier division of the Currie Cup in August.
22 year-old Luiters was born in Port Elizabeth and played for Border at the 2005 under-13 Craven week while at Stirling Primary in East London.
He then moved to Bloemfontein and honed his rugby skills at Grey College where he was a member of the SA under 16 elite squad in 2008 and the SA under 18 high performance squad in 2010.
Luiters made his Currie Cup Premier Division Debut for the Cheetahs last year against the Sharks, but says he's excited at the prospect of coming home.
"I'm really ecstatic about the move. When the Kings approached me I was very excited. It will be a great opportunity, especially with my lifetime coach and personal friend Michael Horak moving to the Kings as their defence coach. There is no doubt in my mind that I'll truly blossom under the structures at the EP Kings and the coaching of Horak and new had coach Carlos Spencer."
