The first edition of Mossel Bay 70.3 gets underway with the swim from Santos Beach and concludes with the half marathon at The Point, in Mossel Bay.

From here, athletes head into Transition before taking on a one-loop 90km bike course with the turnaround at Gouritz River valley just short of Herbertsdale on the R327.

Lastly, athletes will take on a 21.1km two and a half loop run course which takes them past the harbour, through the historic Central Mossel Bay, the Dias Museum Complex, and The Point where the finish line beckons below the Cape St Blaize lighthouse.

Taking on this course for the first time are a few fan favourites. In the men's pro field, amongst others, are Matt Trautman, Bradley Weiss and Henry Schoeman.

Following suit in the women's pro field are Emma Pallant, Julie Aspesletten, and Magda Nieuwoudt.
