Presidential spokesperson, Khusela Diko and Gauteng Health MEC, Bandile Masuku, have been summoned to appear before the party’s provincial integrity committee.
This, in the wake of an unfolding PPE tender scandal that led to Diko taking a leave of absence from the Presidency.
On Wednesday, she and her husband apologized and said they want to cancel the multi-million rand PPE contract awarded to her husband’s company.
The ANC in Gauteng said Musuku and his wife Loyiso, who is a mayoral committee member in Johannesburg, have also been placed on leave.
The Gauteng provincial government is expected to address a media briefing on Thursday afternoon.
