NMBM holding closed meeting behind doors

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will hold a special council meeting behind closed doors on Tuesday to discuss the position of the acting city manager.

This followed last week's arrest of the acting Municipal Manager, Mvuleni Mapu, along with businesswoman, Bulelwa Ntanga.

They're accused of defrauding the Eastern Cape Department of Human Settlements out of close on R13 million.

Mapu was granted bail but placed under house arrest until his next court appearance.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Council will hold a media briefing after the closed meeting.
