Zwelinzima Vavi to address May Day Rally in Nelson Mandela Bay

Reinstated COSATU secretary-general, Zwelinzima Vavi will be be the main speaker at a Workers Day rally in Port Elizabeth.

The Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini, will also attend the rally on Thursday to be held at Dan Qeqe stadium in Zwide.

COSATU regional spokesperson, Mandla Rayi says a total of 8 rallies will take place in the province, including East London, Port Alfred, Port St Johns, Mount Ayliff and Aliwal North.

"In Mdantsane the President of NUM will be speaking on behalf of the central executive committee of COSATU. Other speakers include Mandla Makapula on behalf of the central committee of the SACP, Makapula is also the MEC for education in the province." says Rayi.
