Alert members from SAPS in Kwanobuhle made a sizable drugs bust on Tuesday afternoon.
Captain Gerda Swart says they were travelling towards Uitenhage at lunch time when they received valuable information about a suspicious VW Golf 4.
They noticed the vehicle as the driver was about to park in Algoa Road, Uitenhage.
Police members pulled in behind the Golf 4 and upon searching the vehicle found 2020 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R80 800.
The 25-year-old female driver was arrested on the spot for the illegal possession of mandrax tablets.
She's been held in custody and will appear in the Uitenhage Magistrates' Court on Thursday on a charge of illegal possession of mandrax tablets
