Young Port Elizabeth gang-leader jailed for 14 years

A well known gang leader in Port Elizabeth's northern areas has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for the attempted murder of a 23 year-old man from Gelvandale.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says 19 year-old Leswin Felix was sentenced on Wednesday in the regional court in Port Elizabeth, marking another success for the PE Gang Task team.
Van Rensburg says Felix was given the lengthy prison term after being convicted of firing a number of shots at the 23 year-old and wounding him in the leg on Saturday the 8th of March. Felix was arrested two days later.
He was sentence to a total of 14 years in prison for attempted murder and for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
