A young Port Elizabeth man died in a hail of bullets in Bethelsdorp on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said that the body of 23-year-old Ashley Bingham was found in William Slammert Drive with multiple gunshot wounds.
She said Bethelsdorp detectives are investigating a case of murder.
Meanwhile, Naidu said the Provincial Gang Investigation Unit is investigating the attempted murder of a 17-year-old in Helenvale also on Saturday.
She said the teenager was wounded in both legs in a shooting in Voisen Street.
Naidu said in both cases the victims have no known gang affiliations.
