Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder following a shooting on Thursday in Brutus Road in Gelvandale.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says 21-year-old Regen Welmaan was shot by two unknown gunmen opened fire on him and three friends who were sitting on the porch.
She says the men fled inside but Welmaan who was at the back was hit several times.
Janse Van Rensburg says they're investigating a gang link to the shooting.
