Port Elizabeth police are hunting for the suspect who shot and killed a young man and wounded a 61-year-old woman in Arcadia on Sunday night.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says 21-year-old Johnty Phillis, was standing outside a shop in Melkbos Street when a man approached and opened fire.
She says Phillis was shot in the leg and back and died en route to a hospital.
Naidu says the woman was also wounded in her leg.
She says the deceased has no gang affiliation and anyone who may have information pertinent to the case should contact Bethelsdorp police.
