Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder after a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in Salt Lake.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says members responded to the shooting in Harrington Street at about 11 am on Tuesday.
Naidu says on arrival, the body of Curtley Van Staden was found lying in the road near his home.
She says his mother is believed to have heard people screaming, and on investigation discovered that it was her son.
Naidu says he sustained multiple gunshot wounds and the motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation.
