A man from Gqeberha who was killed on Saturday when he lost control of his motorcycle has been identified.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says 24-year-old Basheer Ahmed was driving his Kawasaki bike when he allegedly made contact with another motorcycle while overtaking.
She says Ahmed lost control on the road between Westering and Malabar and died on the scene.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says the other biker collided with an oncoming vehicle and both drivers sustained minor injuries.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
