A 23-year-old man has been found guilty of three counts of murder and one of attempted murder in the Port Elizabeth High Court.
National Prosecuting Authority Regional spokesperson Anelisa Ngcakani says Neaven Demingo was further found guilty on Friday on two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Ngcakani said Demingo, and an unknown suspect who is still at large, fatally shot and killed Austin Tembula and Fernando Ashia in HIbiscus Street in Bethelsdorp, in April 2019.
About a month later, Demingo and two others, who are also still on the loose, shot and killed Jacques Roberts who was walking in Velozia Street in the same area.
She said Roberts was shot multiple times by two of the three men and later died in hospital from his injuries.
Demingo was arrested in May of 2019.
He will be sentenced on the 31st of March.
Ngcakani said the murders were all gang-related.
