Kouga Municipality says its suspended a second person at the Humansdorp Traffic Department for allegedly issuing fraudulent driver's licenses.
The Municipality says another employee at the Department was arrested for a similar offence within the past two weeks.
Kouga Municipality Speaker, Hattingh Bornman, says they have a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and will always strive for good governance and service excellence.
He says employees found guilty of acts of corruption will also face disciplinary processes or criminal charges.
Bornman also urged residents who do not live in the Kouga region to please not make use of their offices right now as they are in the process of streamlining and accelerating the acquisition of licenses, as well as to make the Department more customer-friendly.
He says in the interim Kouga residents can make use of the traffic services in Joubertina.
