Working on Fire (WOF)
Seven teams from Working on Fire have been working in Ugie in the Eastern Cape to fight a fire that started at PG Bison on Monday.
Regional Spokesperson Nthabiseng Mokone says thus far no lives have been lost, nor any structures damaged, however, an estimated 95 hectares of plantation has been destroyed.
He says on Thursday night into Friday morning the teams managed to suppress 19 fires.
The teams will be on high alert until Sunday and asked communities to be vigilant at all times.
