Police in Makhanda are searching for five armed suspects who robbed a store on Friday morning.
Spokesperson Captain Khaya Tonjeni says the suspects were dressed in Shoprite uniforms and went to the employee entrance situated on the side of the building just before 6 am.
He says they made their way straight to the cash office where they held the staff at gunpoint.
All five men were armed and stole an undisclosed amount of cash which was supposed to be used at the till points.
The men also stole four phones belonging to the staff members.
