Employees at Volkswagen SA in Uitenhage continued to protest on Friday, against what they say, is an infringment of employee rights by the company.
About 300 employees started the protest action on Thursday during the morning and afternoon shifts.
Numsa regional secretary, Phumzile Nodongwe says workers taking sick leave are being subjected to an interview by the company.
He says if workers refuse an interview, the company refuse to pay them.
Nodongwe says further action will be taken and could cause a halt in production.
