Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of business robbery at a cell phone shop at The Bridge shopping centre.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says the complainant and a co-worker were busy in the store when two suspects, one with a firearm, entered the shop at about 12.30 pm.
One worker was assaulted when a suspect hit him over the head.
She says three more suspects then entered the store and started removing demo cell phones from the display before fleeing with a total of 11 phones.
Janse van Rensburg says it is unclear if they fled in a vehicle after exiting the shopping centre while the staff member who sustained injuries to the head was taken to hospital for treatment.
