Wool prices were softer at this week's sale following record highs last week.
Cape Wools says its merino indicator shed 2.1% to close at R113.22 per kg for clean wool.
Spokeperson, Ona Viljoen, says although prices were down, the indicator was still nine percent above last year's level and 29% higher than the opening level.
She says the softer market is attributed to some resistance against the current high prices.
The next sale has been scheduled for the 20th of this month.
