The wool market kept up its good performance, and the Cape Wools Merino Indicator gained 1.3% to close at R197,43 for clean wool.
Coarser wool managed to maintain good price levels at this week’s auction in Port Elizabeth, while the demand for good quality long wool increased the prices which were paid.
The Australian EMI also gained 2% this week.
The next sale in Port Elizabeth is Wednesday when 11,720 bales will be on sale.
