Women appear in court for allegedly defacing Uitenhage war memorial

Two women have appeared in the Uitenhage magistrate's court for allegedly defacing a war memorial next to the Uitenhage Town Hall.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says Nombulelo Mkwena and Vuyokazi Voxeka were granted bail of R500 each on Friday.

The women were arrested on Wednesday following a tip off.

The case was postponed to the 15th of July for further investigation.
