A woman's body has been found in a shack in the backyard of a house in George.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn says the 25-year-old woman was found in Versfeld Street, Conville on Monday.
She says the body was found on a mattress and was partially clothed.
Steyn says it is suspected that she was assaulted with a blunt object in the face.
A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
No arrests have yet been made.
