Woman to appear in Grahamstown court for Mandrax possession

A 48-year-old woman was due to appear in the Grahamstown magistrate’s court on Monday for the possession of drugs to the value of R500,000.

Police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said the woman was arrested during a routine search on Saturday when police stopped a bus on the N2 travelling from Pretoria to Port Elizabeth.

Govender said the woman was arrested for being in possession of 4,107 mandrax tablets.
