The body of a woman has been recovered from the sea off Mossel Bay.
The National Sea Rescue Institute said its Mossel Bay volunteer crew joined the police and Western Cape and private emergency services in responding to the call on Saturday.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says a rescue swimmer, assisted by a local dive company, recovered the body of an adult woman.
He says despite extensive CPR efforts the unidentified woman was declared dead on the scene.
