Woman killed in head-on collision near George Airport

A woman died in a head-on collision in George on Sunday afternoon while six others were admitted to hospital with injuries.

Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says an Opel Corsa bakkie and a Nissan Qashqai were involved in the accident near the George Airport.

He says the incident happened at around 4.30 pm near the Airport crossing.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.

Captain Pojie says the name of the deceased will be released once her next of kin have been informed
