Woman killed by PE train

A woman has been killed at the North End station in Port Elizabeth after being struck by an oncoming train.

Police Captain Johan Rheeder says the woman was crossing the railway lines when she was hit by the train.

Rheeder says emergency services arrived at the scene but she was declared dead a short while after.

He says her identity has not yet been established.
