Mossel Bay man given two life sentences for raping his own daughter

A Mossel Bay man who was convicted of raping his daughter whom he used as a sex slave over several years, has been sentenced to two life terms in jail.

He was sentenced in the seaside town's magistrate's court on Friday.

During pre-sentencing argument, state prosecutor Candice Simon, said that rape is an evil in the community of Mossel Bay.

She said that the man had not played his role as a father, adding that his daughter's life will never be the same again.
