A woman, accused of smuggling a gun into court to help prisoners escape, appeared in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Police spokesperson Luietenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the case against 27 year old Avizive Bila was postponed until the 26th of January.
She allegedly put a loaded firearm into a dustbin at the court in September, which was grabbed by one of the Eastern Cape's most wanted criminals, who was set to appear in court.
A shoot-out with the police ensued and two prisoners were shot dead.
