A woman who was gunned down outside the St George's Hospital on Sunday has been identified.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says she was the 49-year-old Carol Anne Magielies.
She says Magielies, who worked as a receptionist at the hospital, finished her shift at 7 pm and was approached by an unknown suspect.
While approaching her transport, she was pulled aside and shot multiple times.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says they rushed her back into the hospital where she passed away.
The suspect is still on the run.
A case of murder is under investigation.
