A 50-year-old woman has been beaten to death at Dutywa in the Transkei and police say her boyfriend is the prime suspect.
Police spokesperson, Major Ernest Sigobe, says she was last seen at her boyfriend's home on Monday night.
Her sister reported her missing later in the day.
Police later found the woman's body at a hospital, and the boyfriend is still at large.
Meanwhile a teenage boy is being sought for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in Butterworth.
Sigoba says it is alleged that the teen grabbed the girl and forced her to accompany him to his home, where he raped her.
The girl reported the matter to her grandmother yesterday, and police were alerted.
