Woman arrested for possession of tik worth R30K

Police at Thembalethu, George, have arrested a 26-year-old woman for the possession of tik valued at R30 000.

Captain Dumile Gwavu said police officers were on patrol on Wednesday and found the woman in possession of a kilogramme of tik in Liwani Street,  Zone 9 Thembalethu.

He said police saw the woman taking something over the gate of a house in the street and found the tik inside the bag she was carrying.

The suspect will appear in court once the tik has to be sent to the Forensic Laboratory for analysis.
