A man from Wilderness, who was arrested in 2016 for the possession of child pornography, is expected to plea in die George Regional Court on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old, who cannot be named at this stage, was pulled over at a routine roadblock just outside of Wilderness when police found drugs in his car.
According to police, the suspect asked to make a phone call when an alert officer saw pictures of child pornography on his phone.
The man was arrested on the spot and police subsequently raided his house, in a leafy suburb in Wilderness.
There, police seized 11 hard drives, a computer and CD's containing thousands of images.
During the raid police also came across 40 dagga trees planted in the back of his garden.
The Suspect is currently out on bail.
