Employees of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality's safety and security directorate, including traffic officers, are expected to continue their wild-cat strike today.
The employees went on strike on Monday over a long-standing dispute with the Metro Municipality over back-pay after they had been regraded.
A spokesperson for the striking workers, Libhoyi Nangu, says they will be meeting municipal manager Mpilo Mbambisa on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says it has obtained a court order interdicting employees from participating in unlawful activities at Municipal buildings.
Metro spokesperson, Roland Williams, says the court order is wide-ranging and enables the Municipality to continue to serve the people of Nelson Mandela Bay and ensures that municipal buildings remain accessible to the public.
