Detectives from the Humewood branch in Gqeberha are seeking the community's assistance in tracing suspects or witnesses in a murder that took place on Christmas eve last year.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 18-year-old Henrique Scott and a friend arrived at a party venue in Slater Street in Central earlier in the evening.
She says the friend was allowed in but Scott was denied entry.
He then got involved in a physical altercation with people outside.
Colonel Naidu says when the club closed at 11 pm due to curfew, Scott's body was found a few metres away from the entrance.
She says he was stabbed twice and taken to hospital where he died four days later on the 28th.
Naidu says they are now investigating a case of murder and obtained CCTV footage relating to the incident, suggesting that several people had witnessed the assault.
The main suspect police are looking for was wearing a red scarf as a mask with a white T-shirt and black pants.
Colonel Naidu says the suspect, who had dreadlocks/braids is believed to be in his twenties.

Police would like to caution any person who is found wilfully aiding and abetting any criminal or criminal activity, is committing an offence and could be criminally prosecuted.
