Police in Knysna are looking for a well-known Knysna businessman who was last seen last week Thursday on the 9th of May.
Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says the 65-year-old Egbertus Johannes (Bertus) Scheepers left his house on Thursday morning to go to work but returned to his home at Thesen Island later in the day.
He says Scheepers' phone and wallet with all his personal information was found inside his home.
Pojie says his life partner reported him missing the next day.
Police immediately established a search party consisting of various roleplayers including the Dog unit.
The community police forum also assisted police by handing out pamphlets with the missing man's photograph.
