Widespread rain and showers were measured over large parts of the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
The PE branch of the SA Weather Service says a welcome 12 mm fell in Nelson Mandela Bay while 19 mm was recorded at Kareedouw in the Metro's catchment area.
Over the interior, 24 mm fell at Middleton (Henrys Flats) and 39 mm at Queenstown.
Spokesperson, Garth Sampson says although only 9 mm was measured at Noupoort, there was a cloudburst in the mountains in the Middleburg area
He says there were unconfirmed reports of 50 mm in 15 minutes in the area.
