The PE Branch of the SA weather service says there may be a temporary respite in the offing as Nelson Mandela Bay battles with an on-going dwindling water supply.
Weather Office spokesperson Garth Sampson says the seasonal forecast is looking promising and there may also be some good rain later this week.
He says some rain and showers can be expected from Thursday through to Saturday for most parts of the Eastern Cape.
Some snowfalls are also expected over the high lying areas on Thursday evening, while a strong southerly wind is expected in places over the interior on Thursday and Friday.
Further good news is that the seasonal forecast is looking promising for the rest of the year, for the entire region, with above-average rainfall being forecast.
