The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality says the Metro's water supply and pressure problems have been resolved.
Municipal spokesperson Mthubanzi Mniki says in a statement on Friday that due to the latest stability and consistency in electricity distribution to treatment works and pump stations, they have managed to refill their reservoirs.
Mniki assured residents that the quality of the water is safe for drinking, despite reports of discoloration.
The municipality has called on residents to use water sparingly, adding that the supply dams' levels have dropped to about 70 percent of capacity.
