(WATCH): EC traffic cops chase mentally disturbed man on the N2

The Department of Transport in the Eastern Cape says a video doing the rounds on social media showing a naked man being chased on the N2 is that of a mentally disturbed man.

A Spokesperson Unathi Binqose says traffic officials responded after the man was spotted on the N2 near Kinkelbos, just outside Port Elizabeth.

He says the man is mentally unstable and was arrested by officers before being taken to a mental hospital in PE, where he was sedated.

Binqose says he is still trying to establish when exactly the incident took place but confirmed that it was last week.
